Hi gay!
Welcome to Queer Dance Philly, your cheat sheet for finding the next move.
Queer Dance Philly pieces together queer DJs, artists, dance parties, and venues across Philadelphia
so you can spend less time searching and more time dancing. It’s intended for discovery: everything
from lesbian and POC-centered dance parties to gay club nights to trans-centered raves. The wider
Philly dance scene is included too, with a stronger focus on venues that have a history of booking
queer artists or holding events curated for the LGBTQ+ community.
Find the next move
The calendar includes events curated specifically for the queer community alongside other dance
nights of interest. Purple events highlight queer events, while rainbow and trans flags indicate
queer and trans artists on the lineup.
Tap an event for its flyer, lineup, location, and more information. Browse dates by swiping, using
the arrows, or tapping the date in the upper-left corner.
Discover more
Philadelphia’s dance music scene is wide and sprawling, with a host of queer artists playing
significant roles in several different scenes. My hope (and the reason this calendar exists) is
that the calendar will be used to help you discover artists, parties, and sounds that you might
otherwise miss.
This is where the event archive comes into play.
Tap on Discover to browse artists,
parties,
venues, and
collectives - see past events, who’s playing
with who, and where. The queer community thrives best through its ability to find strength in
connection, and Queer Dance Philly seeks to make those connections more visible.

Behind QDP
I started the Queer Dance Philly
Instagram account
in early 2025 solely so I could find new dance parties without my main feed getting clogged up.
The dance floor is a place where I always felt at home, and I wanted other people to find that
same sense of home as well. The idea caught on, I started sharing the events I found, and over
time Queer Dance Philly was born.
It is very much a homegrown operation. I’m finding these events myself, talking to organizers,
and reaching out to artists directly to make sure they’re okay with being identified as a queer
or trans artist. I do all the graphic design as well.
It is a labor of love, an act of service to the community that sustains me, and something I am
very grateful to be able to contribute.
If your event’s not listed but you think it’s a good fit for the calendar, the best way to have it
included is to forward the Instagram event post to me; this way I can share it on the day of the
event. There’s a “Submit Event”
form
on the menu as well. For any other corrections or inquiries, shoot me an email at
[email protected].
See you out there!
